Counselling

Jaclyn provides counselling to individuals (aged 14 and older) and couples. Within the counselling process Jaclyn aims to guide clients to deepen their understanding of themselves and the concerns they face in order to bring about meaningful change.

Jaclyn sees counselling as a relational process and draws on evidence-based therapies and models including systems theories, psychodynamic, interpersonal, narrative, and cognitive based therapies.  Within sessions, support will be provided to manage the impact of your mental health /grief on your life.

Sessions are paced to suit the needs of the individual/couple. The length of therapy will vary and will be regularly reviewed. To ensure choice and flexibility in regards to accessing support, counselling sessions can be offered online or face to face.

Clinical Supervision

Jaclyn provides clinical supervision to Social Workers and Counsellors. She has extensive experience in senior clinical and supervisory positions in mental health, homelessness, family relationships, social marginalisation, grief and loss and trauma.

Jaclyn strives to create a safe place that encourages reflection, growth, and reflexive practices. She believes that the supervision process should be flexible to meet the changing needs of the therapist. Having completed her AASW accreditation she is knowledgeable around the requirements of this process.
